This cake was for somone who is leaving to serve our country. Wishing him and all our troops a safe trip. Thanks for all you do to keep our country safe.
So I decided what to do with the paper roses I have been messing around with. One thing i did discover is that the thinner paper is harder to work with, but not to shabby I must say

As I was looking thru you-tube for new techinques to learn (I am totally self taught and could always learn more) I came across this video from DCWV paper and they made these amazing paper roses from the Immortal Love paper stack (which I adore). I tried it and it didnt turn out to bad. Much easier than I thought. http://youtu.be/3yRbHNPKIPY
Here is the link if you want to try it.
Thanks.

so, today I got my new YourStory binding machine, so of course I had to try it out! I decided my first project that i would would be for me. I have this habit of finding recipes on line and printing them off and then have the papers flop all over my kitchen, so I used one of the 4x6 your story folder and made me a little recipe book. I embossed the top and jazzed it up a bit. hop you like it!!!
Kimmy asked me to "document" all the cakes she has made in only the way i can, so I started her a scrapbook last night. She should be proud of what she does, I know I am! Here is what I have done so far (well just last night).

For Mother's day at our church, Kimmy and I are making goodie bags for all the women. Inside Kimmy is doing some little candies and I made these book marks. oh, did I mention that their are a 100 of them!
